Description
The Wedding March Op.61 in C major was composed by Felix Mendelssohn in 1842. It is the tenth of 14 movements in Mendelssohn's Incidental Music for A Midsummer Night's Dream.
The Wedding March is commonly used as a recessional at the end of a wedding. It's use as a recessional became popular in 1858 when Victoria, the Princess Royal used it for her marriage to Prince Frederick William of Prussia.
